School of Social Work

Opened in August 2004, a new building at 122nd Street and Amsterdam Avenue consolidates the School of Social Work’s academic, administrative, and research functions, which previously had been spread throughout various University buildings. With approximately eighty-five offices, a spacious multipurpose room, ten classrooms, ten conference rooms, several seminar rooms, group study rooms, faculty and student lounges, and a fifty-seat computer laboratory, the new building provides an appealing new home for the oldest and one of the most renowned social work schools in the United States.
